Personal Injuries Board
A preliminary step to be taken in all personal injury litigation is that an application is to be made to the Personal Injures Board. It is most advisable that a claimant obtains impartial independent legal advice from an experienced practitioner in relation to any claim to be made to the Personal Injuries Board.
Personal Injury litigation almost invariably involves claims against persons with Insurance cover. Insurance companies have a stated aggressive policy to attempt to resolve claims speedily and directly with the claimant. It results that many claimants do not fully understand the consequences of settling the claim early, the result of which can mean that the claimant can lose out very significantly. In such instances many claimants do not receive the full value of their claims and realise, all too late, that they have no further recourse once they have settled their case. Legal practitioners experienced in the area of litigation can advise clients fully of all of their legal rights and safeguard them from circumstances of being persuaded to settle their cases prematurely. The importance of obtaining independent impartial advice from an experienced practitioner cannot be under emphasized in these times.
